Privacy Policy

This is a plain-language summary of how WavyVid handles data. WavyVid is a small, free tool site — this policy is written to be actually read, not just legally exhaustive.

Your files

Every video and audio tool on this site runs entirely in your browser using WebAssembly. When you drop a file into a tool, it is read, processed, and exported on your own device. It is never uploaded to WavyVid's servers or any third party as part of using a tool. You can verify this yourself: load a tool page, then disconnect from the internet — the tools keep working, because they were never talking to a server in the first place.

What we don't collect

We don't require an account, we don't ask for your email to use a tool, and we don't store the files you process — because they never reach us to begin with.

Standard web logs

Like effectively every website, the infrastructure that serves these pages (not the tools themselves) may keep ordinary server logs — things like IP address, browser type, and which page was requested — for basic security and reliability purposes. This is standard web hosting behavior, separate from and unrelated to any file you process with a tool.

Cookies

WavyVid doesn't use tracking cookies or third-party advertising trackers today. The one thing stored on your device is a small preference in your browser's local storage remembering whether you accepted or rejected the cookie banner, so we don't ask again on every visit — that's considered strictly necessary storage and isn't itself a tracking cookie. If that changes as the site grows (for example, to support ad slots that keep the tools free), the consent banner will cover the new categories and this page will be updated to reflect it clearly, including a link to Google's own policy on data AdSense collects once it's live.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that affects how your data is handled, we'll update this page. Since there's no account system, we can't email you directly — check back here if you want the latest version.
